Our delegation includes tech founders, politicos, engineers, students, creatives, and more, representing the next wave of Bitcoin-powered changemakers.

With more than $70,000 in ticket support and unmatched community vibes, this is the first-ever and largest female-led activation in crypto conference history.

“We’re not here to fit in - we’re here to change the game. This is a pivotal moment to amplify women who are building, teaching, and shaping the future of Bitcoin. The energy, the talent, and the purpose behind this initiative are unstoppable.”

Let’s make history together. 📍

By Kelly Ann Collins July 27, 2025
Dear friends, This week in San Diego, Women in Bitcoin & Blockchain, an initiative of Unstoppable Future, had the joy of co-hosting a lively and uplifting Crypto & Coffee event with our amazing collaborators: Stand With Crypto , Stella Foundation , Beauty on the Blockchain and SheCrypto at Hera Hub . From blockchain to business, it was powerful to witness so many aligned missions under one roof. I am especially grateful to the powerhouse women who worked behind the scenes to pull this all together: Fari Jaan of Beauty on the Blockchain and Edge Wallet; Carrie “Ms. NFTy” Lyn Henman , California President at Stand With Crypto and founder of LearnVille; and Riley Jennings of Baddies Mean Business and the Stella Foundation. Their leadership, hustle, and heart were the driving force behind an unforgettable morning of community, conversation, and Web3 exploration. I felt such a special connection to these women who devote their time and energy to helping others navigate the crypto and Web3 space with confidence and purpose. A special thanks to Bored Munchies (Bored Ape Yacht Club) for keeping everyone fueled with delicious snacks and Eric Spivak of New Friendship Tech for curating a relaxed and welcoming vibe. We engaged with several of Stella Foundation’s amazing businesswomen , who asked thoughtful questions and sparked insightful conversations about the real-world impact of blockchain - especially for women-led ventures. Another highlight was connecting with both men and women in tech and chatting about Web3 tools and how they can unlock new paths for growth, funding, and community-building. Guests included incredible leaders and builders like Kim Currier from Decentraland , Valerie Carrillo from San Diego NFT Friends , Morgan Rockwell of Mycosoft and MycoDAO , who reminded us how powerful and collaborative this space can be when people come together with curiosity and intention. Also loved hearing from the team at Oink , which is coming soon! I started Women In Bitcoin & Blockchain with the mission to help people, especially women and underestimated founders, feel confident stepping into Web3. Events like this are a reminder that when we lead with knowledge-sharing, community, and a little caffeine, the possibilities are endless. Can’t wait to do it again! All my best, Kelly Ann P.S. Couldn't make it? Check the pics and vids + stay connected with us for an invite to the next Crypto & Coffee (Baltimore!) and other upcoming experiences by following along on my socials or signing up!

Dear friends, There’s a dangerous dynamic playing out across relationships, industries, and communities that is rooted in control, exploitation and an unequal balance of power. It’s a pattern that has shaped the lives of countless women, often leaving them disempowered, financially dependent and emotionally depleted. I’ve seen it. And I’m done with it. Now, I love men. I have friends, brothers and cousins that are men. They are great. But there is something I want to point out to the men who might not realize they are doing it. ... Too many men are seeking out women (and others) they can control, not women they can grow with. These are not confident, healthy men. These are insecure men who are afraid of partnership, threatened by equality, and drawn to dynamics where they hold the power and the woman has none. Then, when they’re “done” with a woman, they discard her. No safety net. No support. This is not cool and it stems from insecurity - men who don't think they are valuable enough to have a real partnership. A real relationship. This imbalance isn’t just sad - it’s dangerous. I believe it is growing in society. Why We Must Call This Out Control is not love. Exploitation is not partnership. Dependency is not protection. Too often, women are praised for being "taken care of" but let’s be clear: If someone can revoke your income, your housing or your dignity at any moment, you’re not being supported ... you’re being controlled. You’re not in a relationship. You’re in a power trap. Women: Stop surrendering your freedom in exchange for comfort. Stop mistaking control for security. If someone dresses you, feeds you, funds you and uses that to dictate your choices that is not cool. That is not friendship. That is not love. That is leverage. Learn to recognize the signs of coercive control: You're excluded from financial decisions You're discouraged from growing, earning or being independent Your personal freedom is conditional on their mood or approval You're expected to stay silent, grateful and obedient None of this is good. It's manipulation. And it shows up in many forms - from romantic relationships (dating, engagements, cohabitation, marriages) to transactional relationships (examples: escort work, OnlyFans, "sponsorships," gift giving and going on trips in exchange for sex or something else / ogling, exotic dancing, prostitution). I also believe this can include work and professional relationships - and inequitable age relationships (young girls, much older men). Any time you are being unfairly controlled it's time to stop and check yourself. Some people might disagree with me and that is fine. But I believe wherever there's an uneven balance of power and autonomy is traded, women (and others - this does not always happen to women only) are being exploited - not empowered. Men: Do Better If you can’t respect an equal, or you don't want them around, ask yourself why. If you’re afraid of a woman (or anyone) with independence or power, get help. If you keep choosing women (and others) you can dominate that’s not strength. That’s insecurity dressed up as masculinity. Unpack your need for control. Go to therapy. Understand why equality feels threatening to you. Fix yourself before you break someone else. The Role of Blockchain and Crypto in Women’s Freedom This is where blockchain and cryptocurrency come in - because freedom requires financial independence and digital sovereignty. Here’s how blockchain can help shift the power: Access to Income Without Gatekeepers: Women can earn, save and invest outside traditional systems that have historically excluded or restricted them. No need for a bank account signed off by a partner. Crypto gives women access to global markets, freelance platforms, and creator economies on their own terms. Digital Identity and Privacy: Blockchain allows for secure, self-managed identities. This is powerful for women escaping controlling relationships or surveillance - especially in parts of the world where rights are restricted. Transparent, Immutable Contracts: Smart contracts mean clear terms, no manipulation. Whether you’re an artist, freelancer or founder, blockchain lets you protect your rights and contributions. Access to Communities That Uplift, Not Exploit: Decentralized communities create new spaces to build, grow, and support one another - not top-down systems where power is hoarded and abused. Owning Your Worth - Literally: NFTs, DAOs, tokenized platforms - they’re new tools for women to own their work, their voice, and their vision without permission. Why I Started Women In Bitcoin & Blockchain I didn’t create Women In Bitcoin & Blockchain just to build a brand. I built it to help break patterns. To help women: Stand on their own financially Leave unhealthful power dynamics Build futures not dependent on men (or others!) who want to control them Have a supportive DeFi sisterhood It hasn't been easy but we are here to build a future where everyone can be happy, free, and fulfilled - not trapped in cycles of control masked as connection. If you’ve been through it, you’re not alone. If you’re ready to rise, we’re with you. If you’re tired of the silence - speak up. We will, too. Let’s create a future that’s equal, empowered, and unstoppable. If this resonates with you, sign up now to attend our DeFi events or get involved now. In San Diego? Come see us on Friday. The delegation includes entrepreneurs, politicians, developers, students, top executives, and thought leaders from around the globe. WIB, powered by UFC’s advocacy arm, is fostering a supportive community in a space where women have historically been underrepresented.
