UNSTOPPABLE VOICES
Justin G.
Advocate. Creator. Voice for the 22q Community.
Hi, I’m Justin G, and I’m proud to be a voice for people and families affected by 22q11.2 Deletion Syndrome - also known as 22q. I use my platform to educate, inspire, and connect others who are navigating life with this rare condition.
I was born with 22q, and over the years I’ve learned that while it comes with challenges, it also builds strength, empathy, and resilience.
Through my journey, I’ve made it my mission to turn awareness into action, sharing real stories, helpful resources, and a positive message.

“I have special needs it doesn’t matter if my heart is different or my brain is different or if I have a different body or my voice is different I can do anything I put my mind to don’t let your disability take control only you are.”

In The News
What Is 22q?
22q11.2 Deletion Syndrome, often called 22q (pronounced “twenty-two Q”), is a rare genetic condition that occurs when a small piece of the 22nd chromosome is missing.
This tiny missing piece can cause a wide range of health and developmental differences, including heart defects, learning differences, immune challenges, speech delays, and other medical or behavioral concerns. Because the symptoms vary from person to person, no two people with 22q are exactly alike.
In fact, 22q is one of the most common genetic syndromes, affecting an estimated 1 in 2,000 to 4,000 people, but it’s still often underdiagnosed or misunderstood.
Why Awareness Matters
Early diagnosis and support can make a huge difference. With the right medical care, therapies, and community, people with 22q can thrive, achieve, and live full, meaningful lives.
That’s why Justin uses his platform to share his story - to help others understand that different doesn’t mean less, and that every 22q journey is unique, powerful, and worth celebrating.
